Qualifying nurse candidates will be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). Experience in working with older persons, a compassionate personality and a knowledge of the Health Act (2007) (Care and Welfare of Residents in Designated Centres for Older People) Regulations 2013 and the National Quality Standards for Residential Care Settings for Older People (HIQA, 2016) is highly desirable.
Qualifying health care assistant candidates will have a minimum qualification FETAC Level 5 Health Care Assistant/Care of the Older Person and have a compassionate personality.
